Biography
Joana Salifu Yendork, PhD. is a Professor of Developmental Psychology at the Department of Psychology, a Clinical Psychologist, and currently the Director of the Centre for Disability Studies (CEDSA) at the University of Ghana. Her research interests centre on child and adolescent mental health with a particular focus on vulnerable populations such as orphans, children and adolescents in stepfamilies, adolescent girls in child marriage, youth in gambling, and adolescents with disabilities. She is also interested in the influence of activities of neo-prophetic churches on the mental health of congregants. She has published widely on these topics.
